Thestudy on challenges and opportunities for the the Internal Market and consumer protection in the area of motor vehicles shows that the expected effects of TTIP on the European automotive industry will besignificant, but depend strongly on the scope of trade liberalisation. In thefield of motor vehicles TTIP should go far beyond the degree of tradeliberalization reached in previous trade agreements between the EU and othercountries.
