Highlights - New safety rules on Personal protective equipment, gas appliances and cableways - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

Updated EU rules for personal protective equipment (such as life jackets or bicycle helmets), gas appliances (such as portable cookers or boilers) and cableway installations (such as funiculars or aerial tramways) were approved in Plenary. The three regulations lay down common rules aimed at better protecting its users whilst reducing red tape for its makers.
