On 25 January, IMCO committee discussed and voted on the 183 amendments and 20 compromise amendments tabled to the own-initiative report regarding Single Market governance within the European Semester 2016. The report was adopted by 27 votes in favour, 1 against and 2 abstentions.
The 183 Amendments that have been submitted to a large extent furtherstrengthen and clarify the initial ideas of the Rapporteur (inclusion of SMpillar in the European Semester, need to tackle non-tariff obstacles with theEU, role of public procurement ((e-procurement and implementation of PublicProcurement Directive)), Services Directive, services passport, public-privatepartnership, e- administration, new business models and sharing economy,circular economy, DSM, interoperability, enforcement of SM rules, infringements, market surveillance authorities).
