Highlights - Plenary: Single Market governance within the European Semester 2016 - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The report on Single Market governance within the European Semester 2016 will be debated in Plenary on 24.02 and voted on 25.02. The report suggests the inclusion of a SM pillar in the European Semester and addresses issues such as the need to tackle non-tariff obstacles with the EU, the role of public procurement, Services Directive, e- administration, new business models and sharing economy, circular economy, DSM, interoperability, enforcement of SM rules and infringements.
