The workshop will reflect upon a definition of, and distinction between, professional version non-professional/occasional provision of services and how could a regulatory framework for non-professional provision of services and prosumers look like.
It will also debate new ways of providing services in the digital era and the need to effectively protect consumers, and related issues such as liability of platforms, rating systems, transparency, privacy, consumer trust,
discriminatory and unfair practices, information to consumers and consumer protection standards.
A roundtable discussion with different stakeholders presenting a variety of business models and best practices across Europe within collaborative economy is also foreseen.
