Highlights - Control of the acquisition and possession of weapons : plenary vote - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The European Parliament will discuss and vote on 14 March on the text agreed after four rounds of informal trialogue negotiations on the Firearms Directive. The co-legislators reached an initial political agreement on the revised text, including on the medical review provisions, the categorisation of high-capacity semi-automatic firearms, the provisions on high capacity magazines, the provisions on collectors, museums and target shooters, and the provisions on deactivation.
