Highlights - Approval and Market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers: plenary vote - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The European Parliament will discuss and vote on 5th April the report on approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.The regulation replaces the 2007 Framework Directive on type approval, making its provisions directly applicable. It aims to ensure a transparent and sustainable regulatory framework that provides a high level of safety and environmental protection.
