On 12 July, Members will discuss the priorities of the Estonian Presidency with Ms Kadri Simson (Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure) and Ms Urve Palo (Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology). In the area of internal market, the Estonian Presidency announced that they aim to advance the negotiations rapidly in order to deliver on the numerous legislative and other proposals under the Single Market Strategy and the Digital Single Market Strategy within the Council.

In particular, the Estonian Presidency plans to finalise the approval of the regulation on unjustified geo-blocking within the single market. The Presidency wishes to ensure thorough discussions on the elements of the Services Package and build on the efforts of the Maltese Presidency on the services notification procedure and proportionality tests for professional qualifications to start and advance trilogues. The Presidency aims to agree on a general approach concerning the introduction of a services e-card. Finally, the Estonian Presidency will strive to advance the discussions on the single digital gateway, to work on the proposal on the type approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, as well as to achieve a mandate for starting discussions with the Parliament on the CE-marked fertilisers' proposal.
