Highlights - Quality of products, market surveillance, customs: mission to Florence and Livorno - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

A delegation of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee will go to Florence from 04 to 6 April 2018. The visit will include in field-visits to companies (technological hub), meetings with small local producers, multinational brands businesses, local and national authorities, consumers associations and experts on the issue of the “quality of products”, exchange of views on the “made in” and market surveillance and a field-visit to the port of Livorno.

The field-visit to the port will include meetings with customs authorities on customs controls, fight against counterfeiting and on the role of ports and customs as key players to defend the integrity of the single market.

The region of Tuscany is one of the most important industrial region in Europe, well known for its manufacturing and its agricultural products.
