Highlights - Free flow of non-personal data in the European Union: consideration of amendments - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The IMCO Committee will look into the amendments tabled to the draft report regarding the free flow of non-personal data on 24.04.18. The overarching aim of the Commission’s proposal is to unlock the potential of the EU data market by creating a more competitive and integrated internal market for data storage and processing services. At the heart of the proposal is a ban on national rules requiring data to be stored or processed in a specific Member State.
