Highlights - Programme for single market, competitiveness of enterprises and European statistics - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 5 November, IMCO members will consider the draft report on establishing the programme for single market, competitiveness of enterprises, including small and medium-sized enterprises, and European Statistics. For the next 2021-2027 period, the Commission is proposing a new Single Market Programme, that will bring six programmes and numerous actions, previously separate, under one coherent framework.

The main aim is to implement and enforce various activities supporting delivery of the single market in the wider sense, improving synergies and flexibility as well as eliminating overlaps in existing EU Programmes.
