Highlights - Type-approval requirements: committee debate - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The IMCO Committee will discuss its report on bringing together the current Vehicle General Safety Regulation and the Pedestrian Safety Regulation in a single legal text on 06.12.18. The proposal also aims to create a link with future requirements for motor vehicles to obtain a type approval. The debate follows a workshop held at the end of November, which looked into causes and consequences of road accidents, the state of technology and potential solutions.
