Highlights - Type-approval requirements for motor vehicles: committee vote - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 21 February, IMCO adopted by 33-2-0 the report on type-approval requirements for motor vehicles and their trailers, and systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles, as regards their general safety and the protection of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users. Safety features such as intelligent speed assistance, advanced emergency-braking system and emergency stop signal will have to be installed in new vehicles.
