Highlights - Corrigenda on General Vehicle Safety Regulation and consumer protection rules - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 25 September, IMCO Members adopted two draft corrigenda: - the position of the European Parliament, adopted at first reading on 17.04.19 with a view to the adoption of the directive on better enforcement and modernisation of EU consumer protection rules (32 - 8 - 1), and - the position of the European Parliament adopted at first reading on 16.04.19 with a view to the adoption of the General Vehicle Safety regulation (41 - 0 - 1).

The corrigenda reflect the modifications of legal-linguistic and technical nature done in the joint finalisation procedure, which were carried out after the vote in plenary, and not before plenary as would usually be the case, in accordance with Article 294(4) TFEU.

The draft corrigenda are to be transmitted to Plenary for its announcement in October I session in accordance with Rule 241(3) RoP.
