Highlights - Digital Services Act: Improving the functioning of the Single Market - Vote - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 28 September IMCO Members will vote on the draft report entitled "Digital Services Act: Improving the functioning of the Single Market". Over 900 amendments were tabled by the shadow rapporteurs and other MEPs on this file. The Report calls on the Commission to put forward a proposal for a Digital Services Act following a set of recommendations on transparency and consumer protection, artificial intelligence, the need to tackle the spread of illegal content online, ex ante regulation

of systemic platforms and the creation of a European regulatory body.
The vote in plenary will take place in October 2020.
