On 12 July, IMCO Members will hear a presentation of the Slovenian Council Presidency programme by Mr Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology and Mr Boštjan Koritnik, Minister of Public Administration. Slovenia's six-month programme is based on four priorities.
Under the slogan "Together. Resilient. Europe.", Slovenia will strive to facilitate the EU's recovery and reinforce its resilience, reflect on the future of Europe, strengthen the rule of law and European values, and increase security and stability in the European neighbourhood. Following the COVID-19 disruption, the Slovenian Presidency will pick up the legislative pace and broker a general approach on the most important proposals for the digital agenda, such as the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Furthermore, Slovenia will strive for the digital sovereignty of Europe and the ethical use and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which, in connection with the availability of big data, is identified as one of the key technologies of the future.
