Highlights - Final Report on the simplification of the transfer of motor vehicles - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 9 July 2013, a large majority of IMCO Members supported the legislative report of Toine Manders (ALDE) on the simplification of the transfer of motor vehicles within the Single Market. The report seeks to simplify the vehicle registration formalities and conditions that are often seen as a main concern of citizens when exercising their rights under EU law. Awaiting the Council to make progress on this proposal, IMCO will take a decision on the following steps at a forthcoming meeting.
