Highlights - Vote on Electronic invoicing in public procurement - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 17 December, Members will vote the legislative draft report on electronic invoicing in public procurement. The report supports the establishment of a common EU-wide standard for e-invoices that all public purchasers must accept, even though they may continue to use other national systems and paper. Key issues are the inclusion of essential content requirements for the future standard, the procedure for making the new standard binding and the time-line for transposition by the Member States.
