Among the upcoming initiatives, VP noted the Skills Agenda foreseen for release late in spring. He spoke about the Commission work on issues and areas such as services passport, enhancing European standardisation system, improving access to finance and venture capital, start-ups, simplifying VAT procedure and insolvency rules and strengthening enforcement and compliance. During the ensuing discussion, Members raised the following issues: skills and skills agenda, including digital skills, EFSI and its implementation, need for better regulation, simplification, tackling non- tariff barriers, Digital Single Market and levelling playing field; encouraging growth and SMEs growth,services passport, copyright reform; circular economy, start-ups and scale ups.
