On 13 July at 15.45, IMCO Members will vote on the report on control of the acquisition and possession of weapons (Firearms Directive) and more than 900 amendments. The Rapporteur and Shadows will negotiate possible compromise amendments ahead of the vote. The categories of firearms, including semi-automatics, the conditions of authorisation and safe storage, medical tests, deactivation standards and information exchange between member states are some of the issues tackled in the report.
