Highlights - Posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services: exchange of views - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

On 28.11.16, Members will have an exchange of views on the EC communication on posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services put forward in March but re-examined in July in response to the subsidiarity control mechanism. The Commission maintain the original proposal arguing that posting of workers, by its very nature, is an intrinsically cross-border issue and that in order to reach the objective of the proposal, actions at Union level is the most appropriate approach.
