Highlights - Notification procedure for services: committee debate on 8 June 2017 - Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

The European Commission presented its proposal for a Directive on the enforcement of the Directive 2006/123/EC on services in the internal market, laying down a notification procedure for authorisation schemes and requirements related to services, which is a part of the so-called “Services Package”. The first exchange of views was held with the Rapporteur acknowledging divergent reactions to the proposal and the Shadows confirming this. The Council recently adopted its general approach.
