Although still a recent phenomenon, collaborative economy already very much influences our daily lives by creating significant opportunities for citizens and consumers new entrepreneurial opportunities, jobs and growth through novel business models, but is also generating new challenges to users and authorities. The IMCO own-INI report on European Agenda for the collaborative economy will be discussed in Plenary on 14 June and voted on 15 June 2017.
The ITRE/IMCO own-INI report on Online platforms and the Digital Single Market will also be discussed in Plenary on 14 and voted on 15 June 2017. The creation of the right environment and of the right framework conditions is essential to retain, grow and foster the emergence of new online platforms, which play a key role in innovation and growth in the Digital Single Market.
